Whether it’s a serene bedroom, a cosy reading nook, or a zen-inspired home office, the right design can support your self-care routine and bring peace into your daily life.

Creating spaces for wellness

Designing spaces for wellness means focusing on how we interact with our surroundings. For example, spaces designed for relaxation, like meditation rooms, can lower stress can lower stress and uplift your mood.

These spaces typically feature a minimalistic design style with soft lighting, natural materials like wood and stone, and soothing colour palettes.

Incorporating elements like indoor plants, soft cushions, natural lighting, and serene artwork can enhance calmness in the room.

This design template can be replicated in our bedrooms and living rooms to create an atmosphere that helps unwind and relax your senses.

To achieve this without breaking the bank, here are some specific design elements you can incorporate to turn your home into a sanctuary of serenity and well-being.

  • You can also incorporate soft diffused lighting with floor lamps and lamp shades to create a relaxing atmosphere. Alternatively, consider adjustable lighting solutions like dimmable lights or accessories like candles for mood settings.

Colour

  • Use a soft and neutral colour palette with light blues, greens, whites, and beiges to create a serene environment. Earthy tones like warm browns, soft greys, and muted greens may promote tranquillity by fostering a connection to nature.
